The Recovery Village offers teletherapy treatment for those who are struggling from substance abuse and mental health issues.

Excellent
Recovery Village Ridgefield: A Truly Exceptional Experience

Recovery Village Ridgefield far exceeded my expectations, especially when compared to a previous detox and residential program I had attended twice before. From start to finish, the experience was thoughtful, well-organized, and profoundly healing. Here’s what stood out:

1. Beautiful, Clean Facilities

The environment is modern, clean, and visually calming—something that made a big difference for me personally.

2. Engaging and Expert-Led Programming

The residential treatment program was exceptionally well-structured. Staff demonstrated deep expertise, the schedule was thoughtfully designed, and the educational content was both relevant and engaging. For the first time, I found myself actively participating every day, connecting with instructors and peers—something I hadn’t experienced in previous programs.

3. Comprehensive, Holistic Care

Each of us was assigned a dedicated team that included a clinician, case manager, and physician. The approach was truly holistic, addressing both physical and mental wellness.

4. Caring and Skilled Nursing Staff

The nurses were not only highly skilled but also patient, friendly, and supportive, especially during medication times.

5. Comfortable Living Spaces

Rooms were cleaned regularly, with fresh linens and towels provided weekly. Cleanliness and organization were encouraged, making our personal spaces feel comfortable and welcoming. Individual A/C units allowed for personal temperature control, which added to the comfort.

6. Flexible Phone Access

We had regular phone access—typically once a week during class or as needed with permission—which made it easy to stay connected with loved ones and manage personal responsibilities.

7. Ample Outdoor Time and Wellness Options

There was plenty of time to spend outdoors, whether for a smoke break, fresh air, or a walk on the beautiful nature trail. Wildlife sightings (birds, rabbits, deer) added to the serenity. The facility also offered a gym with machines and free weights for those looking to stay active.

8. Excellent Food and Snacks

The food was consistently very good—balanced, plentiful, and satisfying. Daily snack options included granola bars, cheese and meat plates, fruit, chips, cookies, and more. A+ to the kitchen staff! Caffeinated coffee (available from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and enhanced-flavor water with added vitamins were also appreciated. Strawberry-kiwi was my favorite.

9. Daily Health Monitoring

Vitals were checked daily, and we completed wellness questionnaires to help clinicians and nurses track both physical and mental health. This allowed for quick, informed adjustments to care as needed.

10. Thoughtful Room Assignments and Facility Management

The BHT team (Behavioral Health Technicians) did a great job pairing roommates. I don’t snore and was matched with someone similar, which helped me get consistent, restful sleep—about eight hours a night. The BHT staff ensured smooth day-to-day operations and were attentive to all our needs. A+ to the BHT team.

I could go on, but I hope this gives a clear picture of what Recovery Village Ridgefield offers. I would return if needed—but I genuinely believe this will be my last time in active addiction. The tools, insights, and support I gained here have helped me build a solid recovery plan. I’m especially grateful I chose something new instead of returning to the same local center.

Highly recommended.
